Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are an increasingly popular choice for people of all ages. They offer freedom from the constraints of wearing glasses every day. Modern advancements in contact lens materials and designs allow those who may have struggled previously in wearing contact lenses to try new options.

We supply a wide range of contact lenses from the popular daily disposable to fortnightly, monthly, extended wear, permanent or gas-permeable (RGP) and now the revolutionary Ortho K contact lens ….

For most people with keratoconus, the only treatment needed is the correct prescription of contact lenses...

Ortho K Lenses

Ortho K is gentle reshaping of the cornea (the front window of the eye) to correct blurred vision, using contact lenses. Ortho K is also known as orthokeratology, corneal reshaping, and corneal refractive therapy.

Special custom designed contact lenses worn overnight, alter the shape of the cornea to produce clear, lasting vision throughout the day once the lenses are removed. ..

HFA Funding

The NZ Government's Health Funding Authority (HFA) funds contact lenses for people who have very high prescriptions.

Contact lenses may be fully funded by the Government if you:
-  are very short-sighted
 - are very long sighted
 - have an unusually large difference between your two eyes.
 - have some other condition that prevents you from wearing glasses.

Our staff will be happy to advise if you qualify for HFA funding.

Eye Examinations

If you are a current contact lens wearer we recommend an eye-examination annually.
